Five Kingdoms

Scientists use criteria for classification to organize living things into groups. Classification enables them to compare different living things.

The five different kingdoms are: Monera Kingdom, Protoctist Kingdom, Fungi Kingdom, Plant Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Multicelluar organization

UNICELULLAR living things have only one cell. They sometimes form colonies. Unicellular living things feed, interact with the environment and reproduce.

MULTICELLULAR living things have many different cells. Examples: plants and animals.

Cells in multicellular living things are organized in levels. Cells > Tissues > Organs > Organ systems > Organisms.
